Thanks to Cindy and Lee Herman of Las Cruces, NM for.. well, everything. What a great zero day!
We've climbed out of the low, hot desert into the higher elevations where there is still lots of snow on the ground and the nights still dip into the low 20's. Spring has not totally arrived here yet, though the rivers are swollen with the snowmelt. Byran and I visited the Gila cliff dwellings near Hot Springs, NM where there were great hot springs (nah, really?) On the way to Silver City today we encountered snow on the continental divide, not much though. Its still very windy. The slack in the powerlines is evident on a horizontal plane. We'll probably be in Arizona tomorrow or the next day, its hard to tell.
